Since November 2010 Johannes Metscher is employed as scientific assistant of Prof. Michael Koch at the Cooperation Systems Center Munich (CSCM). He attended the University of Augsburg from 2003 to 2009, where he graduated in Computer Science and Human Computer Interaction.
After Johannes finished his studies he started working at the Institute for Media and Educational Technology at the University of Augsburg until October 2010. He is also partner and head of development at the company Ghotthinker GmbH specialized on learning innovation and video annotation.
Research and projects
Johannes successfully finished his master thesis about the interdisciplinary conception and development of a collaborative e-portfolio environment in 2009. The developed web platform is still in use and available under eee-portfolio.imb-uni-augsburg.de.
Johannes’s research work currently focuses on social networking services and their usage by companies with a distributed infrastructure and employees. His current research project San-Netz is also related to this approach. Within his PhD thesis he would like to examine the dissemination of video content with the help of video annotations in activity streams.
