XING: Profile of Christian Herzog
Curriculum Vitae
After Christian Herzog finished his A-Levels in 2004 he began to study Information Systems at the University of Applied Science in Stuttgart. During his studies he used to work at the Robert Bosch GmbH in the field “Materials management – IT- and horizontal tasks”. Some of his tasks were supporting the development of the intranet portal, the assistance of the SAP R/3 system and also the implementation of SAP at the China plant. His studies were successfully finished in March 2008 with the thesis “Aspects of ubiquitous computing in the Office 21”.
After that he completed his Master of Business Administration at the Steinbeis University Berlin. The course is structured as a project competence study, which means that the theoretical knowledge has been supplemented by a job as an assistant manager at the equity AG. In his master thesis he wrote about “Accessing the new online corporate communications division of DGAP mbH”. After graduating in February 2010, he soon realized that he would like to expand his previous experience in a research work. Short detours led him to the Bundeswehr University Munich and the CSCW team led by Professor Koch.
Besides the research work Mr. Herzog works as a project manager in online corporate communications at the EquityStory AG. Some of his projects are e.g. the realization of on-line reports and corporate websites as well as the development of innovative web services.
Research
His research interest focuses on the issue of success measurement in social software for internal corporate communications. Roughly it is about the question of how a rating system for social software must be designed to measure the benefits of collaboration in the enterprise.
