Curriculum Vitae
In April 2011, Martin Burkhard started as scientific assistant of Prof. Michael Koch at the Cooperation Systems Center Munich (CSCM). Martin attended the University of Augsburg from 2003 to 2009, where he graduated in Applied Computer Science.
Before he was employed as IT Consultant and worked as freelancer for companies in financial services, health, human resources and media services since 2003. As Software Engineer his main interest lie in enterprise architectures, cloud computing and mobile devices.
As technology passionate Martin participated in the Microsoft Student Partner program during his studies. Martin is Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and Technology Specialist (MCTS) in ASP.NET and Windows Forms (C#).
Research and projects
Martin successfully finished his diploma thesis about a cross-asset class risk control software architecture for financal services, which he wrote in cooperation with EXTOREL in 2009.
Martin’s research work currently focuses on social middleware and integration of Social Networking Services (SNS) on mobile devices. Within the BMBF project SI-Screen / ELISA (Elderly Interaction and Service Assistant) he is also engaged in the area of Ambient Assisted Living (AAL). The objective of ELISA is to enable elderly people to get or stay in touch with their family and friends.
